UNIQ results

For the partners in the UNIQ project it is most important how effective the services are.LL-Gütezeichen für Leicht Lesen

For instance,
whether people with disabilities can have more of a say.

The advantages of a social service
can be determined with an evaluation.
For the users they should be the advantages
as stated in the UN convention on the rights of persons with disabilities.

This is best when the users participate in the evaluation.
Then those advantages can be asked
about which are most important for the users.

Users with learning difficulties and disabilities
should also work as experts.
This is important because these people
are often not permitted
to make their own decisions about their lives.

Besides, it is important
because these services should help people with disabilities
to live as normally and well as possible.

Normally these services are evaluated
by people without disabilities.
User-evaluation means,
that people with disabilities and learning difficulties
are actively involved from the beginning. In this way,
their opinions of the services
can be better taken into consideration.

Allthough the UNIQ project ended in August 2010, the idea of user evaluation does not end. Some of the UNIQ partners and other, new organisations and groups still are networking in the Nueva - network. They share their experiences, organise know - how transfers and want to establish a user network all over Europe to improve the quality of services for them.

The UNIQ-project-partnership here adresses a „Dankeschön" to the European Commission for supporting these project.
