How does Nueva work?
For a successful evaluation it is essential that all people involved are well-informed, that they do not feel stressed and that they can bring in their personal experiences and competences.
In this way the Nueva evaluation process and results can ideally be made available for users as well as service providers.
When the Nueva evaluators meet with their users for the interview or observation, it is by no means the first step. In the best case scenario, we have managed to arouse their curiosity beforehand, so that we all have the feeling of working together on an important and interesting matter.
The particular steps in a Nueva evaluation could consist of the following:
- Mutual discussion about quality criteria at Nueva with supervisors and users in workshops with service providers (given the case that the service providers are clients themselves) or in regional quality circles (in cases where the administrative body of an entire region is the client).
- Mutual determination of target state profiles for the service providers or on a regional basis for specific offers or facilities.
- Eliciting framework and structural data via a questionnaire for skilled employees.
- Eliciting information about the conditions of facilities in reference to suitability for specific target groups (wheel-chair users, blind or deaf people, users with high care requirements) – analysis with check-lists on the spot.
- A visit to allow users to get to know the Nueva evaluators. Agreement on dates for interviews or observations.
- Optional group discussion with users of the current service that has to be evaluated – qualitative improvement of satisfaction.
- Individual interviews with users or observation on users who can't be interviewed.
- Evaluation of the dates and preparation of the evaluation report for the users as well as the clients.
- Discussion and presentation of the outcomes with skilled service providers and users.
