Peers from Slovenia on knowledge exchange with „Nueva-Peers“ from Graz

„How satisfied are our customers with our services?“ For the Slovenian organisation Sonček (Cerebral Palsy Association of Slovenia) this question is from essential meaning.Peer meeting in Graz

During a study week staff and service users from Sonček worked on a questionnaire to measure customers satisfaction. Eleven peers and seven employees therefore made a trip to Graz to get an insight into the work of Nueva and especially the work of the peer-evaluators. Maja Cuk Greiner who also is involved in the UNIQ-Projekt had made the contact.

Walter Reisinger and Sabine Schweng reported about all aspects of their work. Then Klaus Tomaschek and Ronald Loitfellner talked about their training, the content of the training modules which they had to go through and about the genesis of the Nueva questionnaire.

Time flew away because the peers from Slovenia had so many questions about the living and work situation of people with learning difficulties and disabilities in Austria. Therefore the intensive exchange should be continued. Final goal is the participation of Sonček in the Nueva-Partners-Network.

Final Results Presentation of the Nueva Reference Project in Berlin

“What I like about Nueva is that it’s not only about an evaluation from the outside, whether something is good or bad. It is rather about according our ideas and conceptions with the expectations and experiences of our clients”, specifies Mr. Blanke from the Nordberliner Werkgemeinschaft gGmbH (nbw). The fact that with the Nueva instrument for supervision, nbw has now also been able to include people who are in sheltered workshops or vocational trainings into the evaluation project, is another advantage to him.
Nbw is the first service provider for sheltered workshops in Berlin that has experience with Nueva evaluation. But not only did nbw interview clients, they have also made the results public. This is a large step towards transparency for clients and an important signal going out to other sheltered workshops.

900 clients were visited in Berlin – continue reading here:
